These are ten movies that, for good or bad, really stuck with me in some ways or really struck a chord when I watched them:

TV shows I used to love

Okay, I have trouble sleeping at night, so I end up running through lists in my mind to try to bore myself to sleep. Lately I've been thinking about TV shows I used to love that are no longer on but weren't so WILDLY popular, especially toward the end, like Cheers, Friends, Seinfeld, etc. (had to go with way more than 10 this time):

-Mr. & Mrs. Smith (short lived spy show w/ Scott Bakula & Maria Bello)

-Ally McBeal (before it got really weird)

-State of Grace
-Cupid (very short lived Jeremy Piven series)
-Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel
-Doogie Howser, MD (one of the shows David and I fell in love watching together)

-Lois and Clark
-The Great Space Coaster
-7th Heaven
-Animaniacs/Pinky & the Brain
-Profiler
-Star Trek (Next Generation and Voyager Mainly)
-Tales from the Darkside (Used to watch these late at night when babysitting, stupid me)

Ten foods I'd eat every day

Here are ten things (none of which are all that healthy) that you could offer me on any given day and I wouldn't turn you down:
-Ho-ho's
-cooked snow crab legs
-artichoke hearts (with some dip or marinade)
-green beans with bacon and onion
-fresh strawberries with a little sugar or whipped cream
-cookies 'n cream ice cream (UDF has the best)
-breaded fried zucchini
-prime rib, well seasoned, cooked medium rare
-fresh, sweet watermelon (no seeds preferred)
-Joe Laur's chocolate chip cookies

My half and apple and spaghettios with no meatballs lunch is making me dream of better things...

If I Had Ultimate Power

If I had some sort of godlike, ultimate power, here are 10 stupid things I'd probably do with it (besides the important stuff like peace and love and all that stuff)
-switch the nutritional and caloric properties of celery and chocolate
-make it possible for the average adult human to get 5 hours sleep each night and feel refreshed and healthy
-give my children the magical ability to actually hear me speak when I open my mouth and follow my directions before the words float off into oblivion to be forgotten
-insist school could not begin before 8:00, preferably 8:15 or 8:30 (sorry working parents, I can't stand leaving my house at 7:15 to get the kids to school on time!)
-make it so it couldn't snow on days my husband would be gone all night (although my new snowblower makes this one a LITTLE less important)
-make CDs and DVDs unscratchable and unbreakable
-take away the desire of dogs to chew stuff up other than actual edible items
-make self cleaning dishes (I'd be a gourmet chef if I didn't have the cleanup!)
-move Christmas and Thanksgiving a little farther apart so I don't feel like I'm going to drop between mid November and Jan. 1 every year
-exercise wouldn't ever hurt - NEVER!

Just stuff that's been on my mind for probably obvious reasons. Have a great day all.

Names I never used

In honor of Aunt Jeanne's new baby, here are ten names I really liked but never used for my own children (5 boys' and 5 girls'):

-Gabriella

Most of these either didn't work with our last name, or David hated them (plus we only had the one girl, so that limited our usage.)

Ten Random Movies I end up sitting and watching any time they are on TV, even if I have them on DVD and could watch them without commercials:

Yes, I'm aware most of these are either Romantic Comedies (aka Chick Flicks) or large animals eating innocent people pics, but aren't they really the same thing (LOL!)
